The Barbie Movie came out July 21, 2023, and along with it came a resurgence of all of our favorite iconic Barbie fashions that we’ve known and loved over the past few decades. The iconic Barbie was created in 1959, when she was met with instant popularity. Over the decades, she’s lived a life that we can only dream of, in numerous jobs and seemingly endless outfits, living her best life alongside her boyfriend, Ken, and friends, including Skipper.
Barbie is all about embracing her femininity and that includes wearing lots of hot pink – one of my favorite colors! I’m glad that hot pink has risen to new levels of popularity in the current Barbie era, because it used to be pretty difficult to encounter hot pink items, but not anymore! The Barbie Movie has brought hot pink to the forefront. Here are some ways to embrace the trend.

Do you like to take your beverages on the go? Whether you drink from Stanley or Simple Modern mugs or Nalgene bottles, you can add a pop of color:
Hot pink shoes to brighten your outfit
In the era of the Barbie Movie, even comfortable shoes are available in hot pink. These Sketchers sneakers would be the perfect motivation for your next workout. Amazon reviewers praised these cushiony sandals for their arch support for flat feet. Lastly, Chuck Taylor low top shoes are always a classic, and go with everything. A hot pink outfit to lift your mood
Hot pink yoga pants, a hot pink baseball cap, or a hot pink beanie can make lounging around, running errands, or going out a brighter experience. A hot pink zip-up sweater hoodie can be a great pop of color to wear everywhere. Amazon also sells hot pink tracksuit sets. Revisit the nostalgia of the 2000s and 2010s with this hot pink velour hoodie and pant set. For those of us who have moved on from velour tracksuits, there’s this more modern hot pink option.

Hot pink everything
Hot pink can be found everywhere these days, such as on this Kendra Scott necklace — but you don’t have to wear hot pink, of course. You can decorate your home or car with hot pink. For the home, I’m a fan of soft, fuzzy throw blankets for the home because they are soft and add a cozy touch to any living space. You can find some hot pink throw blankets here and here. You can also use hot pink clothing hangers in your closet. For automobile decor, I like this car steering wheel cover — it looks soft! — or this one.
